Tis the season!!!

Wow there is so much to talk about... I haven't posted in such a long time! So long in fact that I was single when I posted last and now I am ENGAGED!!! yup you heard right as of December 23, 2009 I got engaged to Shawn Gregory Orton! He actually asked me on November 27th but swore my family and I to secrecy until he put a ring on my finger... It finally happened and I love the ring he chose for me!

Then during Christmas Eve Shawn got to have his daughter Madison over so that she could open her presents! Her and her dad had a fun time and they even came in to vist me at work! I found out that Madison missed me and that she missed Harvy (our dog) alot more that her dad! kids are so silly. Madison loved her polly pockets and Shawn said that she really loved the polly pocket bag that I bought for her!

Then Christmas day came and I had to work until 4 at Dennys which was a real bummer, but i guess it wasn't too bad. I was kinda sad to go home because i wasn't going to be able to spend time with Shawn on Christmas but i was VERY excited to go home and see my family! We were opening our gifts and Shawn showed up at my house!!! What a surprise! I was so happy to see him and it was great to spend the holidays with him by my side!

The next day Shawn decided to take me ice fishing for my very first time! It was awesome!

We got to Otter Creek and loaded all of the stuff up and walked out on the lake. Shawn went to drill the hole with the ice ogger (i have no idea how to spell that) and the stupid thing didn't work... luckily there were others on the lake so we just borrowed one. We got all set up and it was pretty slow to start out. I even started to fall asleep when all the sudden my pole jerked and I caught the first fish of the day! I was super excited!

After that I was wide awake and couldn't wait to catch another fish! I went to someones abandoned hole and told Shawn that I was going to catch a fish fromt that hole! after a little bit of a wait I caught another!

Soon after my second catch it started to get pretty cold so we pack up with Shawn empty handed and left. We decided to stop at Piute Lake to see if we would have any luck there. We got on a pretty snowy trail and decided we better not go any further... it was too late to decide this cuz we were already stuck! We tried to get out for about an hour and by then it was dark outside! So we decided to dress as warm as possible and start walking to the main rode to get help and hope we would get a signal on Shawn's nearly dead phone along the way. We found a signal about half way through our walk. We got a hold of my mom and tried to tell here where we were, but the phone died! We continued to walk and freeze! We finally got to the main road and I am pretty sure it was 5 mile until we got to that road. We waved down the first car and they help us get the car unstuck! When they picked us up we found out that we had been walking in 3 degree weather so we are lucky that they picked us up other wise we would have froze. We got unstuck and got a hold of my mom to let her know we were safe! It was a crazy day but it was still a blast and I am glad that I got to spend time with my future hubby and my family!

21st Birthday!

I had the best birthday I think I have ever had! My mom came to Cedar and visited me and I was so happy to be able to see her for my birthday! Thanks so much for coming mom I love you! Well why she was here I made her a delicious steak dinner and then the next day we went shopping and hand a pretty good time! When we finished that, Mindy and I packed up and took off on our journy to rock it out in Vegas!! We made a stop somewhere between Hurricane and Washington to pick up Nate and Juan! Then the 4 of us made it to Vegas to do some damage lol!

We sure did have a good time! The main thing I wanted to do in Vegas was to hit up a club for the first time. That was one interesting experience! I had so many random guys come up and dance with me it was a good time though and when I needed to escape Juan was there for me!

Oh and of course another thing I wanted to do in Vegas was test out my gambling skills! I wasn't so good at it but it was pretty fun. I only lost probably 30 dollars so thats not too bad lol. Juan got in trouble for taking this picture but it is a great one!

All in all it was a fantastic birthday. The next day we went and saw the secret garden in the mirage it was really neat and we posed by all the statues.

I also got some good interaction with one of the dolphins! I am pretty sure it was trying to bite my hand off through the glass but we got some good pictures!

This cracks me up cuz it lookes like we are pointing and laughing at each other! This was one memorable B-Day! Thanks to everyone that called and wished me a happy birthday. . . the wish came true!

24th of July!

It was a great Pioneer day this year...


after I got off of work of course! I went to St. George with my sisters and some friends to the Second Hand Serenade concert!

It was so much fun for those of you that don't know who that is, they sing a couple popular songs called "Fall For You" and "Vulnerable". It was really fun, and I got some signeratures on my ticket from Justin who was the back up singer for one of the opening groups Single File! We also took pictures with him.

We had a really fun time, it was great to be able to hang out with both of my sisters and just have a good time. We all had our moments when we would jam out to the music and I got caught on camera doing it one time. Here is me rocking out to Secon Hand Serenade's opening song!

Ha ha ha... so as you can see it was a great time and for those of you that missed the concert you surely did miss out! I have decided that concerts are one of the funnest things ever!

Flaming Gorge

Recently I went on vacation with my family to Flaming Gorge! It was so much fun! After we got all settled in and set up camp, we went to go check out the lake. It was so beatiful there! The next day we blew up the raft and decided to go out on the water. We were a little scared at first cuz it didn't seem like it was going to hold us all, but we were below the weight requirement so we were hoping they were right!!!




We spent most of the time on the raft, it was a really good time! While I was there I realized i didn't have many pictures with my brothers so here it is, i'm also with my sis-in-laws!

Not only did we enjoy rafting though, there were some pretty intese cliffs to jump off. They ranged from about 18ft to 30ft I beleive. I didn't dare do the tallest cliff but i did jump off of the 20 footer....

It was really intense but atleast I can say I did it! Jessica and Kay C also jumped off the same cliff, I am pretty sure Valarie faced the cliffs the next day. It was such a fun trip and it was so nice to just get away and enjoy the fam for a few days!
